OFF-ICE
TRAINING
(FOR ALL LEVELS)
Our strength and conditioning staff will
test each player and make recommendations to
enhance their development & performance.
They are professionals and teach sport specific
techniques for ice hockey
On-Ice
Sessions
Stickhandling
Learn
how to better control the puck and your shot, to
improve your over all skill level. (Everyone)
Checking
Learn
the proper way to give a clean check and receive a
check to avoid injury. (Peewee and above
only)
Power
Skating
This
session stresses the importance of body positioning,
edge control, forwards and backwards crossovers,
long powerful strides, and agility drills to improve
the players balance, strength, and speed. (No
goalies)
Goaltending
While
the forwards are power skating, the goalies will
receive instruction of their own on the Skills
Rink. This session is designed to teach the
fundamental skills needed in goaltending. The
session will stress the proper techniques necessary
to make skate, stick, and pad saves along with
playing angles, rebounds, and other game type
situations. (Goalies Only)
Team Skills and Games
This
session will consist of team oriented drills which
combine everything that was learned in previous
sessions.
